All students placed in an apartment-style residence MUST read the Apartment-Style Residence Move-In Day information brochure prior to moving into residence on Labour Day, Monday September 7, 2009. Mailing addresses for all WLU residence buildings can be viewed on the Residential Services website. |
Dormitory-Style Residence Living - Move-In Day Information

Insurance on Your Belongings
|
The University DOES NOT provide insurance or assume liability for personal belongings in residence. It is advised that you check with your parent/guardian’s homeowner’s policy and/or your insurance representative to ensure that contents coverage is extended to your residence room. |
Telephone Service
|
|
Telephone service of some kind is mandatory for all WLU residence students. Students are expected to submit their telephone number to their Residence Life Don by Sunday September 20, 2009. |
Internet Service in Residence
|
Internet service is provided through Wilfrid Laurier University in the majority of the residence buildings, and the cost is included as part of your residence fees. For more information about our ResNet service, please review the Introduction to ResNet Letter. |
2009-2010 Residence Handbook

The terms and conditions set out in the 2009-2010 Residence Handbook are a part of the contract between the Department of Residential Services and yourself. They are intended to explain what you can expect from living in residence and what we in turn expect from you. We hope that you will take advantage of all of the opportunities living in a residence community presents. |
Parking Permits
|
Students interested in a parking space for the 2009-2010 academic year may apply for one by completing and returning the Parking Application form. Completed Parking Applications must be received in the Residential Services Office by August 4, 2009 in order for the request to be given consideration. |
Refrigerator Rental for your Residence Room
|
Coldex is a privately-operated firm that, in affiliation with Wilfrid Laurier University, provides students with the option of renting a small refrigerator for their residence room. For more information or to pre-order your rental refrigerator, please visit the Coldex website. |
Bedding Package for your Residence Room
|
Residence Linens is a privately-operated company that, in affiliation with Wilfrid Laurier University, provides new students moving into residence with the opportunity to purchase colour co-ordinated bedding packages at affordable prices. Bedding packages will be delivered directly to the University for students moving into residence on Labour Day, Monday September 7, 2009.
