Laurier’s ICT department requires all students change their Laurier password (network login password) by December 26, 2014. If students do not change their password, they will lose access to Eduroam, WiFi at all Laurier campuses, and will be denied access to all applications, which require student network login.
ICT will force expire all student user accounts and request that all students change their password with complexity enabled.
There are three ways students can change their password:
  • Go to directly, and log in with current password. Enroll for password self- service, then change password. The website will prompt you to change your password if your  current password is expired.
  • Log on to any lab PC with your current password, press ctrl+alt+del, then choose change  password. It will prompt you to change your password if your current password is expired.
  • When logged in with your current password, the Single Sign On (SSO) will indicate that your  password is expired, and direct you to the password change page to change your password.
To change your password, visit , contact ( ) or visit the Student Service Desk if you require assistance.

ICT introduces a Student Service Desk to meet studentsí IT needs and improve support

Laurierís Information Technology Services (ITS) has split the existing Help Desk into two service desks: a Student Service Desk devoted to student ICT support needs and an Employee Service Desk devoted to faculty and staff support and service requests.

The Student Service Desk is staffed by students who are familiar with student ICT needs, including support for Network or myLaurier accounts, wireless, ResNet and other systems such as LORIS and myLearning Space.

Brantford students can request ICT support by contacting ext. 2222, or in person at RCE110. Online requests can be made through: Waterloo/Kitchener students can obtain ICT support by contacting ext. 2222, or in person in the Concourse. Online requests can be made through:

If the request cannot be resolved by phone, it will then be logged as a service request and the most appropriate local support group will provide a resolution.

ICT will also move to an automated attendant for the Laurier Waterloo switchboard (519-884-1970) to provide more efficient connectivity. Laurier Brantford successfully uses an automated attendant for external callers.

Callers will be able to choose from among a number of preset menu options, and can reach people by entering the personís extension or the first few digits of their last name. Callers will still be able to reach an operator by pressing zero.

All changes were implemented on August 15. For further information, please contact Julie Topic, Director ICT Support
